Acer palmatum 'Summer Gold' - Summer Gold Japanese Maple

Summer Gold is a Full Moon maple prized for it’s striking golden yellow foliage. In Spring new leaves emerge with outer margins tinged in orange and pink. Leaves are richly golden throughout the summer months with leaves turning shades of salmon, pink and red in Fall. The form is upright branching forming a rounded tree as it matures. Summer Gold prefers rich, moist well-drained soils. It also does well in filtered light or in morning sun. Growth rate is 12-18” per year.
