Starburst Holly is a variegated hybrid of Ilex x meserveae ‘Blue Prince’ and Ilex ciliospinosa. This upright hybrid has leaves with outer margins of butter yellow surrounding a deep green glossy center. It has a growth rate of 6-8 inches per year and thrives in well-drained soils. This cultivar is a Blue Horizon Nursery introduction.
