Acer shirasawanum ‘Moonrise'

Moonrise Full Moon Maple is a broad upright maple with a burnt orange to golden foliage when grown in sun with a growth rate of 6-12” per year. New growth is somewhat pink producing a beautiful contrast with exisiting leaves. In areas of intense sun, some protection from late afternoon sun is advised. In shadier locations, the colors become more yellow-green. Fall colors are intense orange, red and yellows on the on the “moon” shaped leaves. Prefers moist well-drained acidic to neutral fertile soil.
